Easy Shamrock Craft (Tuesday Talk)

Today's post is very short and sweet, but something I am very excited to share.  If you remember awhile back from my St. Patty's Day Decor post, I shared the pic below of our main bathroom. I realized while decorating that I really wanted a hand print craft to hang on the wall. This is mainly because I love hanging one on that wall at all times. I have a flower hand print canvas that I use during the "off" seasons, but have also collected some holiday ones that I like to hang when it's the appropriate holiday.  I didn't have anything for St. Patrick's Day.

I quickly started brainstorming and browsing online and decided to have the kids make a hand print shamrock. Both kids each made two leaves with their hands. (So I guess that makes it more of a four leaf clover than a shamrock. Oops!) But either way, I loved the way it turned out. It was super simple and super fun for the kids; blank canvas, green paint, paint brush.

And I loved the way it brightened up our bathroom!

I'm definitely (somewhat) addicted to hand print crafts, but it's only b/c I know one day they'll be too old for them and I'll at least have these canvases as wonderful memories.

Have you made any special crafts for St. Patty's Day? We LOVE celebrating each holiday in a BIG way!

As always, I'm linking up with Keri, Jessica, Katie, and many more for Tuesday Talk!

Living In This Season

One last thing, I mentioned yesterday about the sign I DIDN'T buy while shopping over the weekend, but here's a peek at a few things I DID buy! I bought the napkins and cupcake toppers for my upcoming egg hunt. And I loved the pink/gold notebook ("expect nothing, appreciate everything"). I can't even talk get over the awesome selection of cute wrapping paper at home goods. I really wanted to buy about 5 rolls, but limited myself to one.

I guess that's all! Have a great day!

  1. I'm with you on the handprint art. I can't resist their tiny little hands and know that one day I'll look back on it and long for the days when they were little.

  2. As a preschool teacher we are loaded with handprint art. I love to frame them for my little ones so their parents have that special piece in their home that actually means something. Linking from Tuesday Talk
