Weekending

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did!! I was able to start my weekend on Thursday night after work. I met a girlfriend out for drinks. We both had the flight of beers. It was MUCH needed after my 10 hour day in the pharmacy. I don't get nearly enough girl time as I should and always really enjoy myself.

On Friday morning we spent some time outside letting my little man burn off some energy on his newly (borrowed) scooter.

Then it was date night for the hubs and myself.  We had to compromise and go out early to be home in time to watch the ACC tournament. And since it was cold and rainy, I decided to go for a casual look; side hair twist, new tassel necklace, and ripped jeans.

Saturday was a total rain out so we didn't make it to the St. Pat's parade.
My daughter was pretty bummed out about missing it, so I took the kids out for smoothies and to a few stores.

I shopped for some things I needed for a DIY project I was working on. I can't wait to share it with you. It will be soon, I promise!

On Sunday we decked out in our green for church. I was so excited to wear my new top. After wearing it, I'm strongly considering purchasing another color.

The rest of Sunday was spent being lazy. I cleaned and decorated for Easter. The kids played and hid Easter eggs for each other.

Oh, and I started another project. Lots of projects going on in this house!

As I mentioned, please be sure to check back tomorrow with deets on a fun DIY project I recently completed.

Today I'm linking up with Biana and Meghan for my first "weekending" post.

Date Night Outfit

I mentioned earlier this week that I would highlight the outfit I wore for our date night last weekend. Today seemed like a good day since it was a short post to write (last night) and I had to get my things (and the kids' things) ready for work. Of course today, the ONE day a week that I work, has to be the coldest day yet. It's supposed to be a high of 11 degrees with a low of -2!! BRRR! That makes me hurt just thinking about it.  Anywho, back to the outfit! :)

I was so excited to wear my new leopard pumps for our date night last weekend. I just couldn't decide what to wear with them. I literally pulled out 15 different items from my closet. I finally decided to wear my new skirt too.

Chambray top (old but purchased here, similar one) / Tulle skirt (purchased here, similar one) / leopard pumps (can't seem to link my original ones now, but this pair is similar, or my fav ones) / gold sequin belt (old, similar here and here), bib necklace (old, but love this one)

I was super comfortable and loved that the hubs even complimented me on the skirt. He really liked it!

Hope you are staying warm!! Be sure to check back tomorrow for what we've been up to all week with this snow!!

It's Friday, Y'all

It's my first Friday linking up in awhile and this is a very random (catch up) post!

~ONE~
My hubs was off the week after Christmas and made sure to soak up lots of quality time with the kids.  So once the Christmas tree left the house, he pulled out our bounce house. He bought it last Winter thinking the kids would love it but my son ended up being terrified of it and literally screamed the entire time it was on. Needless to say, it's been sitting in the closet since last year. He thought we should give it a try again this year and thankfully my son loves it!! It was sort of a big purchase, so we were pretty bummed when we didn't think it was going to get used. Talk about a great form of entertainment. The first day the kids played in it all.day.long!! If you have the space, I highly recommend something similar to this. I'm actually kinda bummed ours is limited to kids b/c I sure would enjoy jumping in it myself.

I'm not sure where my hubs got ours last year, but here is a similar one.

~TWO~

Last week we were on the hunt for a king size mattress for our master. We took the kids with us hoping for the best and it turned out to be fun for all! lol! But seriously, Cate got it in her mind that she would "keep up with William" by wrapping her purse strap around his neck. He's so patient and tolerant of her. Before going down a certain aisle, he would literally stop and wait for her to "leash" him before walking. They were cracking me up!

 ~THREE~

We had a much overdue date night last weekend. And I got to wear my new blouse that I blogged about earlier this week. I just love it so much!! And you can't beat the price!

Love my "newly" bearded man!

~FOUR~

After our two week break, school started back on Monday. This meant early alarms, packed lunches, extracurricular activities, and tired kiddos.  It also meant one sad little fella who lost his playmate. I just love the pic below but it also makes me sad. I love the way my daughter looks so sincere with her hand on his back, but it makes me sad to see my son with his head down. He definitely had an adjustment period the first few days. They played so well together over the break.

LILLY SALE!!
Y'all, I made sure to take advantage of the Lilly Sale on Monday and snagged an Elsa Top and 2 dresses. I had always read about how much Ashley from Sweet Southern Prep loved the Elsa top but I had never purchased one, until now! It arrived on Wednesday (talk about quick service) and I immediately tried it on. Oh my heavens! I can see why she loves them so much. It was AHHMMAAZZING! I love it so much and am upset that didn't order more. I will definitely be adding more of these tops to my wardrobe in the near future! ;)

Some of them are still on sale on Amazon, and 6pm, and I highly recommend them!!

So that's all for now!

And don't forget to check out the awesome hostesses of the link up; Darci, Liz, Natasha, and Christina.

And also my Friday Favorites (favorite "happenings" throughout the week) with Erika, Narci, and Andrea.

Date Night Outfit (SALE!!)

I'm a little late to post today, but I had to write a quick post about this awesome top I just scored on major sale!! It's the cutest tassel blouse and it's marked down just below $30 with the discount code STYLE2015.  (I remembered Allie, from Alexadrabeeblog wearing it and I loved it then!)

As soon as it arrived, I couldn't wait to wear it. I wore it for our date night last weekend. I paired it with my leather leggings and black pumps. It's probably the first blue top I've ever purchased, but I'm trying to be bolder with my wardrobe lately. I tend to stick to blacks, whites, grays, taupes, and pinks. The top does, however, come in white and black too! And I may actually grab the white one too! It does run big, so size down.

And I'm WAY late to notify y'all, but hopefully you were able to jump on the Lilly Sale yesterday. I snagged a few goodies and I'll be sure to share once they arrive. In case you still want to check things out, click here. This scarf is one of the items left and it's super cute with the tassels!

Happy Tuesday!
