Beach Bound - Gender Poll

Happy Monday, Y'all! We are en route to the beach today, but I wanted to pop in for a quick post. The sweet babies DID cooperate on Friday, so we were able to find out their genders!!! YAY!!!

I added a poll on the right side of the blog for anyone interested in casting a vote. We'll be sharing the results in the next few weeks (after our reveal party), so in the meantime I'll be enjoying the planning!

Hope you have a great week!!!

It's Friday, Y'all!

Happy Friday!!! I am extremely happy it's the weekend.

~ONE~
My boss was on vacation this week and I had originally agreed to work 4 ten hour days to help cover the shifts. But fortunately after learning I was pregnant, I was able to find a relief pharmacist to cover two of the days. That only left me with a 20 hour work week and it just about did me in. It's not only the physical stress of standing for 10 hours but the mental stress. I have said this 1000 times, but I'll say it again: KUDOS TO WORKING MOMS!

~TWO~
I finally found the nail polish that my friend, Kimm, has been talking about. It's the perfect shade of white and I am so happy I finally found it.

~THREE~
These chips though!!! No words needed! #itsasouthernthing

~FOUR~
I can't get enough of my sweet kids lately. They have been having such a great Summer and just getting along so well. I know my son will be crushed again this year when my daughter returns to school. I also had a thought the other night, my sweet (unborn) babes are so lucky to have such amazing big siblings to look up to!

~FIVE~
I doubt I'll be blogging much next week. We are heading to the beach with my hubs' family. The beach is our happy place so I'm sure I'll be trying to soak up every last minute of it.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!! And fingers crossed the babes cooperate today so we can find out their genders!!!

 See you in August! :)

As always, my fun link ups:

Wednesday Wishlist

Sorry for my lack of blog posting lately, if I'm being quiet honest I just haven't felt up to it. I saw this image and it was my exact thought last night.

Every evening/night after I get the kids to bed (when I have my only 2 hours per day to myself to watch TV or blog), I get seriously nauseous. And last night I sat on the couch thinking, this is exactly why I don't drink a ton of alcohol anymore (as in - back in the college days). I felt extremely drunk/hungover - I couldn't even sit on the couch. I usually just end up going to bed and praying I sleep. I'll be 16 weeks this Friday and I keep hoping/wishing/praying the nausea will pass! And I'm just SO SO thankful I didn't have any of this nonsense with my other two pregnancies. The struggle is REAL, y'all! And my heart goes out to any mommas who have/are suffering from it. UGH!

That being said, I thought it'd be fun to list a few things I'd love to receive (and may end up purchasing for myself with birthday money) for my birthday (which is VERY soon). :)

My #1 item is an outdoor fire pit (not necessarily this one, just one similar to it). I've been wanting one for awhile (mainly for smores) and with the Fall on the horizon I think it'd be fun to sit out by it on cool nights and roast hot dogs, etc.

I'd love also this clutch. I've had my eye on these for over a year now. And I thought by choosing this color, it could work for all seasons. Go figure - there a ton of them on sale right now (just not this color).

I obviously want these PJ's (top and bottoms) and I ALMOST pulled the trigger last week but decided to hold off. The hubs told me to order them, so I still may. We'll see! They just look super comfy!

But no matter what, I should be receiving these pink beauties any day now and if nothing else, they can be my present to myself! :)

In other news, we SHOULD find out the genders of the babies THIS Friday and I couldn't be more excited!!! The hardest part will be keeping it a secret. I'd LOVE to throw a gender reveal party. Nothing too elaborate (as my parties do tend to be over the top), but just a small gathering to share the big news. I wanted to have one for my son (almost 4 years ago) but the timing didn't work out. I'm really hoping it'll work out this time. So if you don't hear any gender reveals in the next few weeks, stay tuned for party details!

Weekending

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great wknd! Ours was pretty low key but very productive. And we're pretty happy b/c we only have a week until our beach trip AND my birthday is quickly approaching. I love watching the kids' excitement as they discuss my birthday.

Anywho, back to our weekend. On Friday we enjoyed the day as a family. It was my hubs' only real day off so we wanted to maximize our time together. We did a little shopping, enjoyed lunch out, took a long nap, and squeezed in a family movie. Ooooh, and ended up moving a ton of furniture (in preparation for the babies). All in all, it was a great day! I really didn't take many pics this weekend, especially Friday b/c i was trying to just "live in the moment". But below is a pic of my son trying to decide which lunchbox he wanted us to buy him for preschool this year.

And I did snag just a few things from the Nordstrom sale. Fortunately being pregnant helps when it comes to spending money on clothes for yourself. ;)

On Saturday the hubs left for the work and we (me and the kids) got to work cleaning/organizing/doing chores. They have become such good helpers. And my daughter loves to organize so when  I asked her to help organize the "new joint bookshelf" for the two of them, she jumped at the chance.

My son, on the other hand, quickly got tired of the job. After he  moved a few books, he said "that job is boring". Then he proceeded to put on his superhero cape and jump off of the bed to show me how the cape would fly in the air! Ha!

Since they were such good helpers, I took them to Krispee Kreme after the nap.

We ended the day by ordering new bookbags for both of them. Exciting Saturday night! ;)

Our Sunday was pretty good too. We went to church and then home to organize some more. I just feel like I should be doing as much as I can while I still feel good. Plus we don't just have an empty room ready to use for the babies, we have LOTS of rearranging to do! :)

*First decent bump pic - minus my awkward face.  ;)

*Cuties outside of church in the bright sun!

Hope you have a great day!!

And don't forget my link ups with Biana and Meghan.

It's Friday, Y'all!

Happy Friday!!! I hope you've had a good week. Ours has been pretty good, especially last night! :)

~ONE~
We had a much overdue date night last night. The kids had been wanting a sleepover with my mom, so I figured I could incorporate a date into their trip. As always, it was really nice to enjoy a meal just the two of us. And even better, we came home and enjoyed a fun night at home. We love our kiddos, but the one on one time with my hubs is always very cherished!

~TWO~
I fixed the BEST peach cobbler the other night. I had been wanting it for awhile and decided to take the plunge. I asked for recipes on facebook and had quite a few responses. I mixed and matched a few recipes and it turned out great! Needless to say, I have been enjoying a little bit every night. (Also glad my sweet tooth has returned. It left me as soon as I was pregnant.)

~THREE~
I received the sweetest package in the mail this week from my bestie. The note said it was a combo birthday/feel better soon gift. She was so sweet to include things to help with my nausea as well as some of my absolute favs (food and misc). Granted this was a BIG gift, but I forgot how much fun it is to receive packages; big or small. I need to be better about sending random treats to friends/family. It really brightens your day.

~FOUR~
Y'all know I am a huge Bachelor/Bachelorette fan, but I'm just not that sure about this season. I do NOT like how they never have one entire show each time. The "to be continued" exhausts me. And I really liked Kaitlyn last season, but I'm jut not sure about her this time. This weeks show had me upset at first, but then happy. I had been pulling for Ben all along so when he wasn't picked, I was upset. But then I decided I think he's better off. Who do you want to win/think will win? I think Shawn has a crazy jealous side. And as crazy as this sounds, I kinda like Nick for her. I didn't like him at all last time around, but he seems to be showing a different side. The hubs thinks he has just "learned how to play the game". Thoughts??

Switching gears, does anyone watch So You Think You Can Dance? I've been watching from the beginning, and this season I was a bit hesitant with the new format of street/stage. But the opening (with the top 20 on stage) number blew me away! I am excited to see how the season turns out!

~FIVE~
TODAY IS THE DAY! I hope to take advantage of the Nordstrom Sale today. BUT, I can happily say that I have these pink beauties on their way to me thanks to my friend, Erin. (Thanks again, girl!) I also wait to see any goodies you may have purchased! (hint hint - KIMM!) This was the post where I highlighted some of the things I have my eyes on.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. The hubs is working (again, boo!), so I'm not sure what we'll get into. See you back on Monday!

Nordstrom Sale Favs

I'm sure by now most of you have your already purchased or have your lists made for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After much debate, I opted NOT to open a credit card and just wait impatiently until Friday to make any purchases. And honestly my list isn't as long as I'm sure it COULD be since I'm limited to what I can wear with my growing belly! :)

Here are just a few of the things I have my eyes on:

Earrings:
They added a few new color options to my favorite Kate Spade glitter earrings. I already own the gold glitter ones, but would love the pink ones too! And the turquoise seem to be calling my name as well! :) But with the sale price of $24, I doubt they'll last long!

I'm also swooning over this leather jacket! I love the Brown Saddle color. By the time Fall rolls around, I'm not sure it would cover my belly, but I sure do love it!

These jeans! And not bad for $44!! I'm sure I could still make them work with the help of the belly band!

This top (also available in 3 other colors!!)

And check out the back!
Zoe and Rose Crochet Tank (Juniors) | Nordstrom
Last, but not least, these adorable PJ's! LOVE! They look super comfy!!

Now sadly, I'll just wait a few more days and hope that SOMETHING is still available for purchase. Do you have your eyes on anything good? Have you purchased anything yet?? Do tell!!

Weekending

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours had its ups and downs but either way I'm actually glad it's Monday b/c the hubs is off and we have 2 episodes of the Bachelorette to catch up on! :)

Nonetheless, here is a sneak peek from our wknd.

After Bible School all week, we were all pretty wiped out on Saturday morning. I made a deal with the kids that if they helped me clean and played well together that day, I'd treat them to the new Minion movie this week. And they certainly held up their end of the bargain. We all took our time cleaning a little and relaxing a little!

Until it was time for naps - then the power went out! UGH! Literally not 5 minutes after we all went to have some "quiet time" in our own rooms, it went out. The kids were scared to ran to my room (b/c we all use box fans in our bedrooms for noise and w/o the fans, it was oddly quiet). It was cute (at first..ha!). But the power stayed off until 7pm that night. UGH! So our day didn't finish out the way we had hoped. I will say, though, the kids were really good sports about the whole thing.

On Sunday we went to church and then I tried to get my daughter to take my "bump" pic. I was 14 weeks last Friday and with the hubs working nonstop, we didn't have a chance to snap one. The black dress doesn't really do the bump justice, but I guess you can still see it. :)

That evening we went back to church for the VBS program. My sweet girl rocked every song! And my little man was singing his heart out from the pew. :)

I hope y'all have the best week. My hubs is working a ton of overtime (BOO!), so I'm hoping to mix in some work (room rearranging/baby preps) and also some fun (pool time and movie time).
Have a great Monday!

And don't forget my link ups with Biana and Meghan.

It's Friday, Y'all!

TGIF!! What a week it's been. Not only did we have Vacation Bible School this week but I also start back to work today. Mix in a ton of nausea and I'll happy to see the weekend arrive! I hope to be lazy tomorrow and then we have church/VBS program on Sunday. So actually I might be happier once next Monday arrives! :)

~ONE~
VBS has been such a blast this week. It's truly one of my favorite times of the year. I have helped lead the preschool music group for about 5 years now. It's literally 3 straight hours of aerobics but I absolutely LOVE it. I was a bit more limited this year b/c of the babes/nausea, but overall it was a great experience. And our church had over 500 kids this week and over 700 total people involved (kids, workers, etc). Such an amazing experience.

But this is how we all looked every afternoon!

~TWO~
Did anyone watch Princess Charlotte's Christening? I was so thankful my mom told me about it so I could watch the highlights after the fact. I loved everything about it!!

And little Prince George - could he be any cuter??

I just can't - this picture - too stinkin' cute! Prince William and Prince George! LOVE!

~THREE~
Has anyone else set up the DVR box to record some of the movies on the Hallmark Channel? One of my favorite friends reminds me about this every year and I'm so thankful!

~FOUR~
Since it's still so early, I haven't given much thought to our nursery yet. But the closer we are to finding out their genders, the more excited I am to start planning!! However, before the "fun" part begins, we have lots of "work" that needs to be done to even make room for 2 more babes!
~FIVE~
Back to work
I head back to work today for a shortened (7 hours) day.

I haven't worked since May, as we thought it was best to take off the entire first trimester (personal history, healthy, etc). My job is extremely stressful physically (standing for 10 hours) and also mentally. We just didn't want to add any extra stress to the pregnancy. But the time has come for me to return to the pharmacy. I hope to only work half days for awhile, but I do have some long days in the very near future (while my boss is on vacation). Please pray for me. I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck in the beginning.

I hope you all have a great wknd. As I mentioned in the beginning of the post, tomorrow will be a lazy day. Then Sunday will be sort of busy with church and the VBS program. But thankfully by Monday the hubs will be off and hopefully we can rest a bit. Not for long though, b/c I'd like to start making some baby progress next week (mainly involving my big kids and rearranging their rooms).

Weekending

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

We started ours on Friday morning by fixing treats to take to my family cookout. We love making "pretzel treats" and fix them for almost every event/holiday. The kids helped me by picking out the blue and red M&M's.

By Friday afternoon we hit the road for my hometown. We arrived pretty late and just let the kids play until bed. Then i slipped over to a friend's house for a little "girls' night". We've been friends for over 20  years and we really enjoy spending time together!

Saturday morning we were up and ready to get decked out in festive attire! :)

I had to sneak in the above picture very quickly before the kids were begging to play with all of my dad's "toys". My son spent most of his time on my dad's MULE.

And my daughter spent most of her time in the pool.

Before we knew it, it was time to shower up and get ready for the family cookout/firework display.  But not before more pictures, obviously! :)

My brother and niece slipped over to join the fun and photo taking too!

The party was at my aunt's house and fortunately the weather held off. I went ahead and let the kids do the sparklers before it got dark, b/c i wasn't sure how late we'd be staying (b/c of them being tired, etc). We lucked out and were able to see the huge firework display (that the city park puts off every year) from the back yard and both kids loved them!

We ended up driving back home Saturday night (late) to avoid the awful traffic on Sunday.
Sunday we all slept in (after getting to bed close to 1am) and got things ready for the week. My daughter and I also went to church for a few hours to prepare for Vacation Bible School. I doubt I'll be blogging much this week b/c VBS pretty much consumes me. I help lead the preschool music group (of about sixty 3, 4, and 5 year olds) and it leaves me exhausted. It's basically 3 hours of aerobics every day. I love it but I have a feeling I'll be even more drained this year being pregnant!

I hope you have a great week and I'll try to see you back on Friday!

And don't forget my link ups with Biana and Meghan.
