It's Friday, Y'all!

Thank goodness it's Friday. It's been a tough week, emotionally. It started with my son going to preschool (for the first time) which led me to "ugly cry" the whole way home. Then with the shooting/killing of two of my local news anchor/cameraman and the local schools being placed on lockdown. Add on pregnancy hormones from having TWO babies. This momma is just emotionally drained. But the good news is that we have some family coming to town tonite and our BIG GENDER REVEAL party is FINALLY here! So here goes my 5 on Friday!

I'm always a week behind on pics, but my daughter took this one last Sunday before church. She used to be the "sign holder" when I was pregnant with my son. Now she gets to take the pics while he holds the sign. So sweet.

20 weeks

As I mentioned, my sweet boy started preschool on Tuesday and I was a big ball of nerves. I was so worried about how he'd do that I didn't even consider how hard it would be for me. Oh my heavens, I bawled like a baby all morning. Thank goodness my mom and I ran some errands to help distract me and pass the time or I probably wouldn't have made it. But I'm happy to report that he's done great and loves it. And that makes me very happy!

I started preparing for the party early in the week and decided to snap a few pics. Here are the stickers I made for our guests to wear.

Thanks to a similar pic that Darci posted on IG, I found my first batch of pumpkin creamer. It was probably the highlight of the beginning of my week!

And finally, please pray for the families/friends of these victims as well as our town. This has been such a hard hit on our community

I hope you have a great wknd! I'll be back to report about ours on Monday as well as the results of our babies genders! :)

As always, my fun link ups:

Loves and Hates

I thought it might be fun to write another random post today.
(And obviously i LOVE my family/friends/etc, so they won't be included in this post. These are very simple things.)

the Fall (and everything that it brings)

the color PINK

Reese cups

the beach

clean sheets on a tightly made bed

peanut butter  (peter pan brand)

diet dr. pepper from Sonic (love their ice)

ice cold water

late 90's/early 2000's music (R&B - takes me back to my high school/early college days.. Boyz II Men, Usher, etc)

online shopping

traveling with the hubs

the sound of fingernail clippers (why do people think it's okay to do that in public? or are the pharmacy counter for that matter?)

the winter (specifically SNOW)

snakes (eww i'm shuttering just typing that one)

illness (of any kind on any person - it just sucks)

nutella (got food poisoning from a dish with it in it once and the thought of it still makes me gag)

blood (seeing it, giving it, etc, makes me very squeamish)

walking barefoot on hardwood floors (must wear socks)

drug seekers/abusers (I've witnessed a lot of this lately and it makes my skin curl and takes away from the "good" parts of my job)

So there you have it - some random info about me! :)

FALL Thoughts

Happy Monday!! I hope you had the best wknd! I decided not to bore you with my recap this time. Here's the condensed version; work, chores, church, rest. Instead I thought I'd share what's on my mind - FALL!

I woke up Saturday morning and enjoyed my coffee on the back deck. The weather was in the low 60's and it felt like Fall! I was a very happy camper. The Fall is my favorite time of the year!

I love the cool, crisp air! It makes running so much more enjoyable! The pretty leaves changing colors.

All things pumpkins!!

But mainly the smell (candles, hand soaps, lotions)...

and the taste! (pies, drinks, rolls, anything!)

Before my daughter started school, we always traveled to the beach for 2 weeks in the Fall. A great reason to look forward to the Fall. Also, since having kids, we seem to take our family pics (for Christmas cards) every Fall.

And now (after purchasing my fire pit), I'm really excited to enjoy some cool nights out back roasting marshmallows for smores! YUM!

What's your favorite season? Do you love the Fall as much as I do? :)

It's Friday, Y'all!

Happy Friday!! This week has seemed to drag on to me. But I think it's b/c of the hubs being gone all last weekend and then being gone all week with work. I'm just tired. Plus work took a LOT out of me.

Wednesday afternoon I had a pleasant surprise - all of my Lilly packages were delivered. I honestly couldn't believe how quickly it all arrived. And while I really can't fit into much of it right now, I feel good about the sizes I chose and can't wait until next Spring to wear them. I may even get to wear the tunic some this Fall.

Wednesday was also a fun morning out with my mom. We planned a quick trip to Michael's for party stuff for my son, but ended up starting with HOT donuts from Krispy Kreme and ended with a car full of minion stuff.

Last night we attended a "Back to school night" at my son's preschool. He will be starting next week and attending a church about 5 miles from our house. I'm sad that he won't be attending the preschool at our church where my daughter spent 3 years, but I'm thankful for how close this one is to our house.

Today marks 20 weeks for me! Now that I'm finally feeling good, this pregnancy seems to be flying by. And it's hard to believe I am half way through! Although technically (with twins), you are 4 weeks ahead so I guess I'm past the halfway mark! Wahoo!!

Tonite I plan to take the kids (and meet some friends) to our local town center for an outdoor showing of Planes Fire and Rescue. It should be a lot of fun!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! I work half day tomorrow so it'll be shorter than normal but hopefully I can get some rest too!

As always, my fun link ups:

Lilly Steals! (And link up)

I hope y'all had fun shopping the Lilly sale this year. I was a bit apprehensive with the "virtual line" but I thought it ended up working out great. In fact, the site never crashed and went pretty fast (in my opinion). I logged on RIGHT at 8 am on Monday and had over 3000 people in front of me with an estimated wait time of 1 hour. But I'm glad I decided to sit for a few minutes b/c it immediately dropped down to 16 minutes! I was thrilled! I shopped for a few things, checked out, then (for some reason) it let me right back in and I purchased a few more. I checked back later (with no wait time) but decided to pass on any other purchases.

I was much more organized for this sale this year with wants/sizes. I hoped to purchase:
Elsa Top
Linen Beach Pants
Deanna Romper (that I've talked about for months!)
and anything in the Red Right Return pattern (perfect for patriotic holidays)

My first purchases included the linen pants, romper, and a tunic. I originally spent forever trying to find an Elsa but quickly realized it wasn't going to happen. Every one I wanted was sold out. I didn't want to lose out on my other goodies wasting time. So I gave up. I decided to snag the tunic instead and I'm pretty excited about it! Since I was happy with my original choices, I went ahead and paid (so I wouldn't lose them).

To my surprise, it let me right back in and I decided to look for anything in the RRR pattern. I ended up choosing a halter top and a dress for my daughter. She LOVES when we match, and while we won't necessarily be MATCHING, we'll be coordinating and it will be fun!

Now I can't wait for the packages to arrive. But then I hate that I'll probably have to wait until next year to wear any of them! Ha!

Did you buy anything from the sale? Please share if so!

Share Your Summer - Favorite Summer Memories (Link up)

Hey ladies! I don't know about y'all, but today I am certainly coming off of a "lilly high" from the sale. I was able to snag some really good things. I'll try and post my purchases tomorrow (as this post was already planned for today).

Today I'm (a day late) linking up with the fabulous ladies over at Magnolia Mamas for their "Share Your Summer" link up party.

This week's link up is about sharing your favorite summer memories! It was honestly a great (but short) Summer and I had a really hard time deciding what to choose.  But here is what I came up with:

Celebrating our 13 year dating anniversary

Going to see the Fancy Nancy musical with great friends

Announcing we were pregnant...

with twins!

Movie date with Mimi

Vacation Bible School

Watching my babies sleep together during their sleepovers

A trip back to my hometown and a visit with some of my oldest friends

And family!

Pool days!

With great friends

Family roller skating adventure

Beach trip

I'd say it was a great Summer! My only complaint is that it was too short!!
