We had a wonderful (last) weekend of Summer. Unfortunately the hubs was working, but I tried to make it fun for the kids. Friday was a dreary/cool day so we spent most of it doing our "weekend chores". Then we ended the day with family movie night.
The sun came out on Saturday and we were able to spend the day at the pool. It was the perfect day!! The sun kept going behind the clouds (making it a bit cooler for us), we had great friends to play with, AND we had the entire pool to ourselves. It was such a fun day!
*my son is wearing my daughter's old puddle jumper - i wouldn't have purchased him a girlie one - lol*
Saturday evening I fixed the most delicious meal and dessert! (More on that tomorrow!)
Sunday was spent at church and then preparing for our week ahead. I still can't believe my first born starts 2nd grade tomorrow. EEK! Will the "first day of school" ever get easier for me??

Girl every year I cry on the first day of school. As much as I love seeing my kids grow up in two awesome people it makes me sad how quickly it is all happening. I hope cate, or should I say "Catherine" has a fabulous first day!!!!!

ReplyDeleteMy husband worked as well! Thank heavens I didn't have to send Mia off to school (yet) though! School started in my neck of the woods last week and it just seems so soon!! Summer flew by! Can't wait to hear about that dinner/dessert you made!
