Happy Friday!! It's been another busy week around here and I couldn't be more excited for the weekend to be here!

If you remember, I wrote about Orange Cream Mimosas earlier in the week. Well I had the pleasure of making them on DayTime Blue Ridge on Wednesday. You can watch the clip here.

I honestly can't believe the school year is almost over. It seems like she was just starting Kindergarten! And now she's about to be a rising 2nd grader!!
And while my son has been livin' the life around the house (yes he's driving the car with his leg hanging out), I know he'll be thankful to have his sister home for the summer too!

Ever since I saw the gorgeous Caitlin in this Trina Turk one-piece I loved it! I just don't love the price! Ha!
But then I found a romper in the same print! EEK! Why am I being tempted so badly lately with rompers?!? First the Lilly one and now this one! I absolutely love the detail on the back!

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before or not, but I'm the head room parent for my daughter's class. We have the end of the year party today and for some reason I thought buying/passing out beach balls to all of the kids would be a good idea. I guess I didn't think about having to blow up 23 balls!! Oh well! I think they'll love them. I'm hoping to have each child sign each ball with a sharpee so it'll serve as a fun reminder from their 1st grade classmates. Wish me luck today with this process! Ha!

How could they end the season of Nashville the way they did???? UGH! I don't know if I can make it until next Fall!

As much as I've complained about how busy the month of May is. I am shocked to discover that this weekend is completely empty! The hubs is working, both sets of grandparents are out of town, and the kids/I have NOTHING to do! I am actually pretty excited about it. I know we'll be having a family movie night tonite. Then I'd like to plant some tomato plants (that my father-in-law gave me) on Saturday and maybe mix in a picnic lunch. I'm not going to over think it b/c I know we will all enjoy taking it easy!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!! See you back on Monday!
As always, my fun link ups:
So fun that you were on that show! Loving the photo of your son "living it up" lol. You are such a good mom for blowing up all of those beach balls--great work!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd YES to that romper! I'm still not sure I can pull one off, but I would certainly try with that one--it's so pretty!!
This year has flown by...I'm in denial that my "baby" will be going to second grade next year. Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteMe too, Kimm! Me too!!
DeleteThat romper is adorable and hooray for a free weekend. Love those even though they don't happen that often. And oh my with the beach balls. I saw that idea for an end of the year party, but you should have let the kids blow them up! How are you going to transport them all?!?! Ha! Either way it will be a fun party!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was shocked to discover it was an empty weekend. I better save up some energy for the future ones! Ha! Okay the beach balls weren't as bad as they looked. They're only 12 inches so about half the size of regular ones. They fit in two leaf trash bags. I never thought to have them blow them up! ha!
DeleteI love that romper! So cute and summery. And those mimosas sound amazing! A weekend of nothing is always great (and I'm sure it's even better when you have kids!).
ReplyDeleteThe ? is, how are you going to get all of those blown up beach balls carried into school?! It is such a cute idea though! That romper is adorable; it looks crazy short on the model, but maybe because she's super tall? And yes, I watched Nashville and I'm praying that Deacon makes it! They killed off McDreamy on Grey's, they CANNOT kill off Deacon on Nashville! I'm secretly hoping that it was his sister who didn't make it? Is that awful of me? And what is the deal with Juliette? I get postpartum depression is a serious thing, but I wish they would've spun it differently. It makes her more of a complete B and unlikeable character. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHehe yea I hadn't thought of that either. But luckily they are actually pretty small - about half the size. So they fit nicely between two leaf trash bags! Thank goodness!
DeleteI feel the models are always super tall!! ;)
Okay Nashville, I was actually thinking/hoping it was his sister too. I doubt they'd kill him off already. And I completely agree - Juliette is acting completely cray! Oh, it's just so good though. I hate to wait for the next season!
I cannot believe the school year is almost over too! So crazy! Whew! Ahhh I am behind on Nashville! I need to get caught up! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEmpty weekends are the best! I love just hanging out at home:)
ReplyDeleteYes, they are! Perfect for getting energy back for the week ahead! Enjoy your wknd!
DeleteIt will be like musical chairs with beach balls getting each of their names on there! Ha they will love it though! You should definitely consider the bathing suit and/or romper. When the pattern is that cute, you just don't have a choice. :)
ReplyDeleteHehe it was interesting with the balls, to say the least. :)
DeleteI know, i'm strongly considering the romper. I love the back to it!
That one piece is amazing. I love the color and the cut, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou are champ for dealing with those beach balls, way to go mama!
Congrats on being on the show! I've been on TV for a segment before and it was so much fun.
Yea, I'm going to need that one-piece to go on sale because I need it!
ReplyDeleteExcited to find you through the linkup :)
Oh my goodness, don't pass out blowing up all those beach balls! Love the Trink Turk romper, I say go for it! ;) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow much fun to be able to make a drink on tv!! Go you :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend

The leg hanging out of the car is too funny :)
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you got to be on that show and share those yummy mimosas - love it!!
ReplyDeleteOMG Nashville.... I cannot deal! So mad that they ended it that way! Your beach ball idea is so fun - I'm sure the little ones loved it. And that TT suit is adorable! Happy weekend :)
ReplyDeleteNice romper, I found the same on this site Stylephotos
