Weekending

Happy Monday!! We enjoyed a wonderful weekend back in my hometown for the Apple Blossom Festival. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed spending time with family and friends!

We arrived Friday afternoon and immediately took a pic in front of my dad's apple tree. We were all decked out in pink the green for our entire visit. After all, the Apple Blossom Festival is all about PINK and GREEN!

We visited with my brother and niece for awhile. I love seeing the sweet cousins together!

Later that night, the hubs and I got dolled up for the Queen's Ball. I loved seeing my handsome hubs in a tux. We both realized that the last time he was in a tux was for our wedding, almost 10 years ago!

I, of course, had to snag a few pics with the celebs. And not to toot my own horn, but I was the only person to get a pic with Kevin! Ha! I was on a mission!

On Saturday we had a few hours to relax before the parade started. My daughter spent quite some time in the pool. We thought she was crazy b/c it was cold. But she mainly just enjoyed floating. I have to admit, that's my favorite thing to do in a pool too (only I enjoy warmer temps!).

She also enjoyed the hot tub! She was living the dream!

Before we knew it, it was time to get ready for the parade. Not before a few quick pics!

We all enjoyed the parade. The kids really surprised me! My son sat on my hubs' lap the entire time and my daughter was very good too. They loved it! We didn't stay for the entire parade, but we were there for a good 2 hours! (Notice the hubs' green glasses that he purposefully bought so we could have pink and green ones for the festival.)

I didn't take many pics of the actual floats/celebs b/c I had forgotten my camera. Oops!

It was so much fun spending time with my friends from home. We have been friends for over 20 years! (How can we be that old?!?)

My brother/niece joined us for the parade too!

We ended up driving straight back home from the parade b/c my daughter had church obligations and a birthday party on Sunday.

Oh, and exciting news! One of my peony bushes bloomed while we were gone. And it's the one I was the most intrigued about - pink with a white center!

The rest of Sunday was spent cleaning up and preparing for this week!

Oh yes, and how could I forget!

 The sweet Royal baby was born! I can't wait to see more pics and hear more details!!!

Gray Sun Gifts (And Giveaway!!)

Recently, I was contacted by a sweet friend, Angie (who I actually went to high school with), to see if I'd be interested in checking out her newly launched Etsy page. To my surprise, Angie included lots of other goodies. Three more pairs of earrings (including a matching daughter set) and an adorable hair bow for Cate for The Bloom. I was ecstatic with all of my new earrings.

I absolutely LOVE the turquoise pair below. I think they are a perfect accessory for Spring and will add a perfect POP of color to a simple white t-shirt and jeans.

Y'all know I love ANYTHING monogrammed, so I was over the moon for the "C" pair.

And then my favorites -  a matching pair for Cate and myself. Even better, they are Apple Blossom colors! (And obviously one of my favorite color combinations.)

So just for fun, we had to try them on!

And then this bow, oh my! If it doesn't SCREAM Apple Blossom (for the Winchester locals) or Spring (for everyone else), I don't know what does!
